No Proposal to Link AADHAAR with Property Purchase

There is no proposal to link property transaction with Aadhaar card at the moment.   This has been said in response to a question from the Central Government in Parliament. On 19 Dec (Tuesday), Minister of State for Urban Development, Hardeep Singh Puri told the Lok Sabha in a written reply that such advice has been given to the States and Union Territories on behalf of the Ministry of Rural Development, but there is no such proposal.   Earlier, Prime Minister Modi has often pointed to such a plan.

Central Goverment Prepares to Overcome Shortcomings in Real Estate Regulations

Housing and Urban Affairs, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water and Sanitation Minister Narendra Singh Tomar announced the commitment of the Prime Minister to achieve the goal of housing for all, by 2022, in all cases. At the same time, he assured the real estate sector that all the complaints related to policy will be resolved in such a way that they get complete satisfaction.

RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Act) will be applicable from 1 May

To protect the rights of consumers, the Real Estate Act RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Act) will be applicable from 1 May 2017. With the promise of security of consumers rights and transparency, the much-awaited Real Estate Act RERA is being implemented from May 1, 2017. However, till now only 13 states and Union Territories have notified these rules. While mentioning the implementation of the consumer-centric act, the government has described it as the beginning of an era where the consumer will be all.
