There is no proposal to link property
transaction with Aadhaar card at the moment.
This has been said in response to a question from the Central Government
in Parliament. On 19 Dec (Tuesday), Minister of State for Urban Development,
Hardeep Singh Puri told the Lok Sabha in a written reply that such advice has
been given to the States and Union Territories on behalf of the Ministry of
Rural Development, but there is no such proposal. Earlier, Prime Minister Modi has often
pointed to such a plan.
The Real Estate Regulation and
Development Act (RERA) should have already been brought to prevent builders of
ill-treatment. Prime Minister Narendra
Modi said this. Earlier, the order of
the NCLT (National Company Law Tribunal) was banned by the Supreme Court, in
which the government was allowed to appoint directors by removing the chief
real estate company Unitech directors.
While addressing the 90th General
Meeting of Industry Board FICCI, he said that the government's sensitivity to
the buyers was that they passed the RERA Act, 2016. This bill was passed in both the Houses last
year.
Modi said, RERA could have passed a
long time ago, but it was our government who felt the vision of home buyers
dependent on Rahamokaram of builders. He
asked why not the first step was taken on this. "He said that FICCI had
also given attention to this matter to the previous government that the
builders are not giving the house to the buyers by making promises.
According
to RERA, the builders cannot sell their property without registration. In addition, it has also been made clear in
the law that the projects which have not got compliance certificates will not
be considered as complete projects.
Chief Justice of India Deepak Mishra, Judge A. M. Khanvilkar and Judge D.Y. Chandrachud Bench had banned the December 8
order of NCLT, in which the directors of Unitech were removed and the
government was allowed to appoint its director.
