There is a plan to build a taller high-rise building than Burj Khalifa in Mumbai; this decision is yet to get central Cabinet approval. This information has been given by Road Transport, Highways and Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari. He said that this dream project involves a great and magnificent way from Mumbai's Marine Drive to reach a tall building than 163-story Burj Khalifa. Gadkari believes that the Mumbai Port Trust is 'the richest owner of the land' in the city.

Gadkari said, "We have the highest land in Mumbai. The owner of these famous Taj Hotels, Ballard Estate, Reliance Building, We are (Mumbai Port Trust). There are great plans for developing the land from the port. We are not going to give to our land builders or investors. We have plans to develop the area.
We are going to build a green, smart road that will be three times bigger than the Marine Drive. Our plan is to build a larger historical building than the Burj Khalifa. The plan is ready, just waiting for the cabinet's consent. "
